The Story

Introducing Type 7 Volume Five, the newest installment in the Type 7 book series. Thoughtfully designed and meticulously curated, this fifth annual edition distills the essence of Type 7 into its most refined form. Each copy arrives in a distinctive protective shipping box adorned with a collage of photographs and artworks drawn from the pages within.

Produced as a limited edition, the experience begins with a uniquely engineered tear strip—shaped in the silhouette of the Type 7 logo—revealing a bold orange slipcase beneath. In celebration of five years of Type 7, the cover showcases five original artworks by creatives featured in the volume: Brittany Fanning’s unmistakable surrealist cat lounging atop a Porsche 911; DC Shoes co‑founder Damon Way’s Joy Division‑inspired Porsche 944; a 911 rev limiter surging toward the redline; Aiden de Cadenet’s heirloom Porsche 356 soaking in a Mulholland Drive sunset; and a historic Porsche 911 rally car captured mid‑stage in an archival photograph. Metallic inks and tip‑in pages appear throughout, adding layers of surprise and tactility to the stories and imagery inside.

Remove the slipcase and open the book, and Type 7 Volume Five ventures further than ever before—spotlighting internationally acclaimed artists such as Keita Morimoto, presenting visionary architecture from the Brutalist legacy of Marcel Breuer to the contemporary minimalism of Not a Hotel, and celebrating the enduring magnetism of automotive culture and design.

Please note: cover artworks are randomly assigned for each order.
